Junior Animal Habitats Day

Date: 9/18/21
GS Grade Level: Juniors

Fee: $30/girl
Location: Camp Tongawood
Session Length: 9:30am-4pm, 6.5 hrs
Group Capacity: 20 girls
Reptiles, Raptors, and Mammals

OH MY! Find out more about where animals live, how they play, and how humans can help them. Discover how our council protects endangered habitats and visit our award-winning wetland. Take aim at our archery range and learn about animal conservation. Learn the importance of Leave No Trace when on a camping or traversing outdoors. Discover digital wildlife photography and see the world through different animal eyes. Finish the day by helping Camp Tongawood protect animal homes.

Brownie Home Scientist Day

GS Grade Level: Brownies

Fee: $30/girl
Location: Camp Tongawod
Times: 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm
Group Capacity: 18 girls

​Come learn how to solve problems and experience camp like a real scientist!  Brownie Home Scientist Day is all about learning how to approach the world like a real scientist.  We will be exploring all sorts of STEAM programs like biology, engineering, technology and more!  Come make new friends and learn how to view your world around you!

Junior Citizen Scientist Day

Date: 10/30/21
GS Grade Level: Juniors

Fee: $50/girl
Location: Camp Prairie Schooner
Session Length: 9am-4pm, 7hrs
Group Capacity: 20 girls

On this Journey Day we will:

1. Find out how citizen scientists make observations, collect data, and work with scientists to receive feedback on research.

2. Do 3 citizen science activities: sharpen your observation skills through 2 observation games and a SciStarter project.

3. Plan a Take Action project that helps others.

This is a drop off girl-only event. Lunch is not provided, girls should bring a packed lunch.
